3 dead in Germany as cold grips Europe: News24: World: News
Berlin - Three people were killed in Germany overnight in road accidents caused by heavy snowfall and ice, officials said on Thursday, as traffic came to a standstill across much of northern Europe in the unseasonally early cold snap.
Hundreds of homes in the Bath area missed out on rubbish collections this week in the first big freeze of the winter.
The Bath area has the worst records for premature deaths among older people in the country, and health workers and GPs have also come up with a number of initiatives to keep pensioners safe and warm.

Death rates in the winter are consistently higher than at other times of the year, with a greater risk of hypothermia and flu.

Pensioners are most at risk, often living alone in draughty, poorly maintained houses on a low income.

BAIRD Well if it’s a hoax, it’s a hoax that now spans more than 100 years…
