Barbara Boxer takes shot at GOP agenda - Darren Samuelsohn - POLITICO.com
The Environment and Public Works Committee chairwoman joined the chorus of Senate Democrats who have quickly criticized the House GOP majority as it targets rules covering everything from health care to the environment.
...
Boxer said she’d use press conferences and other public forums to highlight the potential political peril for Republicans who go after the Environmental Protection Agency’s rules that are directly tied to protecting public health.

“I want to tell him that I will use every single tool to me as chairman of this committee and as a senator from California to oppose any legislative effort that threatens the health or safety of the well being of the people of this great nation,” she said.

"That isn't the rule," Boxer said. "You're not making the rules - you used to when you did this. (NOTE: CHAIRMAN BOXER HELD UP HER GAVEL.) You don't do this any more."

"Elections have consequences," she added, referencing the Democratic victories in November that propelled her party into the Senate majority.

Not sure what your point is. The Dems still control the Senate (only about 1/3 of the senate seats are up for election in each election).

The Republicans won the House in the 2010 election but Boxer is in the senate.

So the 2010 US elections didn't have consequences?

Your post focused on Imhofe and Boxer. Imhofe lost his chairmanship of the Environment committe as a result of an election. The same did not happen to Boxer in the 2010 election.

If your point was that elections have consequences, why not focus on the House, where the consequences were dramatic?

How about the health and safety of Visalia? How about the well being of Hesperia, Mendota, and Fresno?

There are some parts of this great nation, invariably the productive parts, that Boxer could give a damn less about.

You ever see her take a tour of the Valley? Now as the price of basic food staples rise to records levels, someone should grab this bought off pipsqueek by the lapels and say look.
Look at all the people you killed with your effed up crusade. That's how you'll be remembered Boxer.
By how many Californians you killed.
