Frost hits Spanish citrus and vegetable crops
VEGETABLE and citrus crops in the Mediterranean region of Spain were hit by frosts in late January, causing significant damage. The farmers' association of Valencia, Ava-Asaja, has reported serious losses since 20 January.

Some 20% of the Valencian citrus crop that was spared during the December frosts is thought to have been affected by the latest freeze.
