SBURY - Frigid temperatures Monday morning left car batteries dead and wrecker services scrambling.

With temperatures dipping to 27 below zero in Glens Falls, hundreds of would-be commuters were stranded in their homes after attempts to start their vehicles proved unsuccessful.
