Twin Cities closing in on snowfall record - Valley News Live - KVLY/KXJB - Fargo/Grand Forks
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Snowfall in the Twin Cities could be a record breaker this season.

As of Monday, 59.5 inches had fallen at the National Weather Service in Chanhassen this season. That's 4.5 inches more than the average total snowfall for the entire winter.

National Weather Service meteorologist Tony Zaleski tells WCCO-AM it's "quite amazing" to be at those levels in mid-January.
