Powerful blanket of CO2 causes San Francisco temperature to spike all the way up to 44 F, only three degrees colder than 121-year-old record for Feb. 19

The chilly, blustery day also set a new cold-weather record in San Francisco. The mercury rose to only 44 degrees Saturday in downtown San Francisco, breaking the previous daytime record of 47 degrees set on Feb. 19, 1890.
