Yes, I still loathe the liars who run the nuclear industry. Yes, I would prefer to see the entire sector shut down, if there were harmless alternatives. But there are no ideal solutions. Every energy technology carries a cost; so does the absence of energy technologies. Atomic energy has just been subjected to one of the harshest of possible tests, and the impact on people and the planet has been small. The crisis at Fukushima has converted me to the cause of nuclear power.Activist Teacher: On the gargantuan lie of climate change science
Overall, therefore, there is no established reason to believe that CO2 could be a climate driver and many reasons to conclude that, although CO2 may often follow or correlate with climate indicators [2], climate drivers are related to solar irradiance and albedo and have nothing to do with CO2.King crabs invade Antarctica
Not all experts agree that the crabs are destined to wreak havoc on the sea bottom. David Barnes, a marine ecologist at the British Antarctic Survey, said that the seawater temperature changes may be occurring on the surface of the ocean but that they're too small to affect animals living on the bottom.
Barnes studies colonial animals in Antarctica, such as sponges and corals, and how they fit into the ecosystem. He said not enough is known about existing crab populations - where they live and how long they have been there - to declare that climate change is causing an invasion.
