The end of scepticism – personal thoughts. | ScottishSceptic
I became a sceptic not because I could prove the world wasn’t warming, but because I could prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the public were being lied to on global warming. The test I set was simple: a warmer climate undoubtedly has benefit such as reduced deaths from cold in places like Scotland. Therefore, I reasoned, if the “science” were really science, and not propaganda, then I should see a large number of references to the known benefits of warming in the scientific papers on the subject.Mega-Droughts Wiped Out Toltec And Aztec Civilzations – When CO2 Was 280 PPM
So, I sat down one day and searched every single paper I could find on the effects of global warming/climate change and after reading around a hundred papers I was horrified to have found only one half-hearted mention of “some benefits of warming”.
So, it was clear beyond all reasonable doubt that the debate was being heavily manipulated in a very unscientific way. I didn’t need to know how much the world was warming if at all, all I needed to do was to highlight the contrary evidence and try to balance the debate. That is how I became a sceptic.
Many of you may have noticed that Steve Goddard at his Real Science site has recently posted a number of similar articles, putting to rest that weather extremes are exclusive to today because of human CO2 emissions. Indeed they were just as frequent in the past.Nuclear power sense from Barry Brook | Australian Climate Madness
This story here is just the latest from online Der Spiegel titled: Tree Rings Witness To Devestating Droughts.
If CO2-related climate change is the apocalypse in waiting the climate change alarmists say it is, then nuclear electricity generation is the only option. Barry Brook correctly acknowledges this fact, and ACM applauds him for that.California, Springtime, L.A. Snow? « Musings from the Chiefio
This is not the “Global Warming” I was promised…
In a truly warming world, I’d be planting tomatoes right now, not worried about “late frost” and cold “winter rain advisories”.
So when the inevitable happens, and NASA GISS declare this “The Warmest Ever!!!”, just remember that means snow. In Southern California. At 4000 feet. In springtime.
...My wife, who has lived here since she was 3 years old, could not remember ever seeing snow that low, this late.
