GISS Winter Temperatures Plummeting Over The US, Europe And Asia | Real Science
Trends for the current millennium, updated with the 2011 data. Russian and Alaskan winters are cooling at a rate of 70°C (126ºF) per century, as well as parts of western Canada.
Arctic warming brings chill to continents
If the globe is warming why is Saskatoon so cold? If the planet is getting warmer, why is this winter so cold? It's a good question and scientists are proposing some interesting answers.
Global warming: the snowy side
The UCS says this winter and last, New York City experienced its two snowiest months on record. Philadelphia experienced four of the top 10 snowstorms in its history. Chicago was hit by its third biggest snowstorm on record in February, and Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota all experienced near-record snows.

Now, there is a fairly complex new scientific theory to explain why climate change can mean more winter, not less, involving the Arctic Oscillation effect.
...
All of this creates a particularly dangerous predicament. As global warming worsens, it seems to have the opposite effect, and it makes all of us wonder if it really is that bad. This could put us in the running to be the biggest idiots in the known universe. As the tempest builds, we're all laughing and sipping margaritas. Hey, I'm all for laughter, but at the right time.

According to science, the cooling effect is not likely to last too long.
