Use our cheap, abundant coal | INFORUM | Fargo, ND
There is not a climate change crisis. It is now obvious to everyone but a few environmental kooks that global warming is not manmade and that CO2 is not a pollutant. The sun is now cooling the Earth, and the atmosphere needs more CO2 so plants will thrive. There is, however, an energy crisis that the nation must address by pursuing smart energy choices.

North Dakota is rich with energy resources. Coal, which is cheap and abundant, can be converted to liquid fuel to supplement oil for our transportation needs. The Great Plains Synthetic Fuel plant in Beulah, N.D., is currently making natural gas. It could be making diesel and other transportation fuels at 30,000 barrels per day. The nation needs to replicate hundreds of these CTL plants to replace our need for foreign oil. China is leading us in this technology.
