One of the reasons ferry fares are rising is the B.C. government's misguided carbon tax (soon to rise again). This unique carbon tax reminds me of the proud parents attending their son's graduation from a military college. "Look Martha," shouts the excited father, "our little Johnny is the only cadet marching in step!"

Cold weather may delay Ga. shrimp season

BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) -- Cold weather could push back the start of Georgia's shrimp season and hurt its seatrout population.

The Florida Times-Union reports that regulators could delay the start of shrimping because abnormally cold weather may have killed a large number of shrimp.
