A prominent scientist who created one of thse iconic symbols of climate change research and became caught up in the so-called “Climategate” controversy will speak Thursday and Friday at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Among the e-mails was a suggestion to Mann that he destroy his own e-mails and a description of a climate procedure that he did as a “trick.”
Mann said he did not destroy the e-mails, and he has been exonerated by his own university following an investigation there. None of the scientific underpinnings of climate change research was changed by the scandal.
He will give two talks, and both are free and open to the public
