Combet plays down carbon cost fears - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Climate Change Minister Greg Combet is calling for calm after the release of figures showing the carbon tax could cost average households almost $900 a year.

Treasury documents released under Freedom of Information laws yesterday predict a carbon price of $30 per tonne would push up bills by $860 a year, or $16 per week.
