Thing of the past: 30-foot late-April snowdrifts near Yellowstone's East Gate

Yellowstone plows reach the East Gate, but work continues
Earlier this week, crews said they had encountered drifts up to 30 feet deep and a snowpack as deep as 22 feet in places. It was, they said, the harshest conditions they've encountered in more than a decade.
