OregonLive : It's endless winter at Mt. Bachelor with record snowfall into May
By this time of year, most right-thinking people have forgotten about snow. But 22 miles outside of Bend, Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort recently surpassed its all-time record for seasonal snowfall, which was 606 inches. At press time, the current total stands at 633 inches -- and counting. Compare that with the average snowfall: 387 inches. (That's the running total for the season; the actual snowpack at mid-mountain was around 180 inches late last week.)
