The Reference Frame: Main polar bear alarmist put on leave, investigated
It seems increasingly likely that the research backing the global warming doctrine is corrupt at every conceivable level. We can't know what the final verdict of the investigation will be - but I am pleasantly surprised that the Obama administration dares to investigate at all when the target is a top doomsday-believing would-be defender of a climatic holy cow, I mean the holy polar bear.
...
For many reasons, I don't really think that the polar bears are endangered or threatened. But if they were, I would be a support of actions to save them and my guess is that it couldn't cost more than a billion of dollars (a fancy Mercedes for each polar bear would cost just about that). At any rate, it's preposterous to use polar bears as an argument in the attempts to reduce the integrated GDP by trillions of dollars.

PS- by the way, interestingly enough, there is a school of thought that the black death was made far worse by climate change, in this case global cooling and the end of the Medieval warm period. In the 1330′s, the end of the warm period brought wet and cold weather which killed crops and caused great famines, which may have weakened the population for the black death a decade later.

It is really, really funny sitting in on a Medieval history course and having the professor have to say things like, “I know this is not what you hear in the news, but in the Middle Ages, warmth brought prosperity and cold brought death.”

Bryan: It’s a Gillard-Brown.

John: The hybrid?

Bryan: Yeah. The Eco-drive system, not a good idea. An engine that can’t deliver hooked up to a transmission stuck in permanent reverse?

John: Green paintwork with a red interior. And steering that always lurches to the left for no apparent reason, that’s the one?

In high school, I knew a girl who got her “short leg” healed about a dozen times at Pentecostal prayer meetings. Global warming faith is almost as intelligent.
