Greenpeace on thin ice
Because there has not been any real warming in over ten years, Greenpeace decided to start using the phrase "climate change" instead. "Climate change" comes in very handy, because it can be used for all imaginable types of weather events, e.g. colder winters in Europe, temperature increases in sub-saharan Africa or floods in other parts of the world. Thus Greenpeace is in a position to continue its scaremongering and fundraising, even if the actual warming has stopped.

Al Gore Calls "BS" and Racism on Climate Change Skeptics - Page 2 - Technorati Politics

At the end of the day, no matter how much Al Gore believes that the debate on climate change is over, it would appear that a large number of Americans believe quite the opposite. I think the former vice president would be doing himself a huge favor to not even try to slightly compare his plight to the fight against racism well and to make a little room for some civilized and intellectually honest discourse.
