WA gets grim climate warning - The West Australian

A new report into the effects of climate change in WA has painted a bleak picture, warning that significant coastal flooding will become routine, hundreds of plant and animal species will be wiped out and agricultural productivity will plummet.

In one of the most dire assessments of the risks of global temperature rises, the report by the Federal Government's Climate Commission forecasts that populated coastal areas in Perth and the South West will be subject to sea level rises twice the national rate.
