OTTAWA - Some lobbyists for a controversial pipeline project stretching from the Alberta oilsands to the Gulf of Mexico need no introduction to confidantes of U.S. President Barack Obama.

TransCanada Corp. (TSX: TRP) has recruited heavyweights from the presidential campaigns of Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Massachusetts Senator John Kerry to lobby for the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline.

Again we get the same “mysterious” variation starting in the early 1980s. This is starting to look very suspicious. There is a remarkable similarity between all these: temperature data is showing a sharp change from other temperature series, climate proxies and cosmic rays, all at the same time and as far as I can see, all with the same general trend.

There’s no doubt about it. There is something really odd going on here.

With $10 Billion in DOE Stimulus Loan Guarantees Set to Expire, President Reportedly Eyes Billions More for Solyndra-Style “Green Jobs”

WASHINGTON, DC – House Energy and Commerce Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Cliff Stearns (R-FL) today called attention to the more than $10 billion in Department of Energy loan guarantees yet to be finalized by the September 30, 2011 stimulus deadline. Of the $18 billion in loan guarantees for which stimulus funding is available, the Obama administration has closed just over $8 billion since the stimulus was signed into law in February 2009. Given the failure of the program’s flagship guarantee to Solyndra, Committee leaders are concerned that DOE will rush to dole out the remaining $10 billion in loan guarantees in the next three weeks, especially in light of media reports that the President is poised to push for even more funding for “green jobs.”
