Farron Cousins | John Stossel Tells EPA To Pack Up Shop
ox News host John Stossel says that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has passed its prime, and is no longer useful. After the Obama Administration last week overruled the EPA’s smog regulations, Stossel took to the airwaves on the Fox Business Channel to tell us that the EPA is no longer a worthwhile organization. Stossel told us: “Thank goodness for the EPA…The air and water are cleaner than they use to be. But they passed those rules. It’s diminishing returns. They have done a wonderful job, stop already. Stick a fork in it, it’s done.”
UN chief and Kiribati leader warn over climate change threat to Pacific islands
5 September 2011 –
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the President of Kiribati, Anote Tong, today stressed that climate change posed the most serious threat to the livelihoods, security and survival of the island nation's residents and the inhabitants of the wider Pacific region, saying the phenomenon was undermining efforts to achieve sustainable development.
Dessler vs. Rick Perry: Is the 2011 Texas Drought Evidence of Human-Caused Climate Change? « Roy Spencer, Ph. D.
The fact is that record dry (and wet) years in relatively small regions are actually quite common…because they usually happen in different places each year. Weather records are location-specific. This year is Texas’ super-drought year. Last year it was in part of Ukraine. Next year it will be somewhere else, maybe multiple places.
The New Nostradamus of the North: Reuters´ Chrystia Freeland and Perry´s "faith-based approach"
There is something almost sinister in the way Freeland and other Obama supporters are trying to portrait Christians who - together with thousands of scientists - are critical of the science of human induced global warming, as being anti-science. But expect more if it, when the election campaign intensifies.

Whether we will hear more about the great scientific "empirist" Obama, remains to be seen. So far, it is rather difficult to find proof for Freeland´s claim that "His core belief is a belief in facts."
