Chris Huhne's department is the hidden energy price villain - Mail Online - Alex Singleton's blog
Oh, the irony is killing me. Chris Huhne, a fanatical supporter of the theory of man-made global warming, is now worried about high energy prices.Huhne: energy prices will fall | City A.M.
You may recall that this is a politician who sat on the Green Fiscal Commission, which demanded higher energy prices. Now, in front of the Lib Dem conference, he is criticising energy companies for not cutting them.
...
These ministers should make their minds up: if they want to be global warming alarmists, they should champion high prices to encourage us to use less power. And rather than just attack energy companies, they ought to acknowledge, indeed celebrate, the massive costs that the political class has itself imposed on energy bills.
A CRACKDOWN on energy companies will boost competition, secretary of state Chris Huhne claimed yesterday, promising that consumers will be “better off in 2020 thanks to our low carbon policies.”
Huhne has recently dismissed rising energy prices by calling on Britons to shop around for better deals.
“We are determined to get tough with the big six energy companies to ensure that the consumer gets the best possible deal,” Huhne said yesterday.
