Wind turbine venture to be sold - Wisconsin
Move follows state's reduced interest in renewable energy
---
A Wisconsin Rapids firm that sought to open a factory to make wind turbine blades will be sold after the project didn't pan out.
...
The company lost $6 million in 2009 and another $4.9 million in 2010.
If the sale does not proceed, the company said it "may be required to file for bankruptcy protection," Energy Composites said in a filing with securities regulators.
The company's shares, traded over-the-counter, closed Friday at 40 cents.
