Byron Kennard: Name Your Poison: Gay Marriage or Global Warming?
...Politically, this will benefit gays and greens alike, who, after all, share a common enemy. People who are anti-science are likely to be homophobic. People who don't believe in evolution don't believe in gay marriage.

Ridicule is especially effective. Remember how the Wicked Witch of the West melted away after the Scarecrow threw a pail of water on her? Ridicule works like that.

We aim to get the world to laugh in derision at climate deniers. Maybe, if we succeed, they'll be as dead as the Wicked Witch of the East after Dorothy dropped a house on her. As the Munchkins described the late departed, "she's not merely dead, but really most sincerely dead."
Pinoy Climate Team in battle for PH survival | National
PANAMA -- A battle-weary Philippine delegation quietly arrived in Panama with a vow to fight for the survival of Filipinos facing worsening climate change. At least three climate change-linked consecutive typhoons recently battered the country in a span of two weeks, resulting in damages reaching P8 billion (USD 200 million).

I think it's a easier to ridicule people who think the world is going to be destroyed by beer bubbles. I remember one poll showing that people thot they were referring to carbon Monoxide, not CO2. That's why the term carbon is being used, so as to avoid the laughter when people realize they are referring to coke fizz.

No warming trend for 15 years. Are they denying global warming has stopped. You'd think they would celebrate or at least show a little optimism.
