Hackers attack UN carbon registry but no credits stolen
This is the first reported instance of an online scam targeting the clean development mechanism (CDM) registry, which is operated by the UN. However, cyber criminals have repeatedly targeted carbon registries run by European states and in several instances stolen allowances (see EDCM 29 November 2010).

The registry is due to go off line for maintenance on 4-14 November this year, the secretariat said earlier this month.
NStar and Northeast Utilities argue that they shouldn't have to buy power from Cape Wind | masslive.com
They also said while the state's anti-global warming law could be used to support a DPU decision to approve a proposed long-term contract for wind power it "does not provide the Department with the authority that would be needed to require an electric distribution company to enter into a long-term contract for off-shore wind."
If this wind energy is so cheap and reliable, why should anyone be forced to buy it?
