University of Oklahoma to host climate science center; Oklahoma State, 2 tribes to participate | The Republic
OKLAHOMA CITY — The U.S. Department of the Interior has chosen the University of Oklahoma to host its South Central Climate Science Center.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said Friday that Oklahoma State University, the Chickasaw Nation and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will be partners in the center's consortium.

Salazar also noted the consortium includes two Oklahoma Indian tribes, which will select a "tribal sustainability officer" to be located at the center.
