NPR.org » Foreign Policy: Why Obama Is Coming Up Empty

1. Climate Change. This was a major item in Obama's 2008 campaign, and he made a big show of attending the Copenhagen summit during his first year. But then he couldn't get an energy bill passed, and the whole issue — on which the future course of civilization may depend — has dropped off the radar screen almost entirely. Not good news if you happen to live near the coast.

The way I remember, Obama put a muzzle on Gore at the convention.
I mean Al spoke for 45 minutes, without ever once mentioning global warming. That was by design. Because the Big O knew what NPR will never tumble to.

Global warming was a loser issue straight out of the box.

Some of the other things Barry did, he took the Governor of Utah, a big AGW nutjob, and sent him off to China. Taking the biggest roadblock to shale oil extraction out of the equation. Then he took the ranking Senator from Colorado out of the chair for the committee on environment and public works, making the dim bulb Barbara Boxer the chairman.
That one move probably saved the country from a national Cap and Trade act.
