There is a Greenhouse Effect on Venus « JoNova: Science, carbon, climate and tax
So here in middle-of-the-road centrist land, the people who claim Earth could become more like Venus are wildly exaggerating, but the people who claim that Venus “proves” that the Greenhouse Effect doesn’t exist are just as wrong.Listening, Julia? | Climate Nonconformist
When the Gillard government took office, they promised us a brand new climate commission, which they naturally stacked with alarmists. It was then used the justify the claim that they “accept the science”, as if the science was unanimous. However, accepting science means acknowledging all perspectives, or you aren’t being honest about the nature of the scientific debate. The Gillard government cannot be claim to be acting in the “national interest” (one of Gillard’s favourite terms) if they take their policy advice on such an important issue from such a narrow range of professional opinion.Estimating Cloud Feedback From Observations | Watts Up With That?
On The Bolt Report today, we saw a snapshot of the advise Gillard is not getting. In an extended panel discussion, Bob Carter, Peter Ridd and Garth Paltridge provided some free policy advice to the government.
this analysis says that the cloud feedback is strongly negative, not positive at all. As a result, a doubling of CO2 could easily cause less than eight-tenths of a degree of warming. If the cloud negative feedback is actually -1.9 W/m2 per degree as shown above, and it were the only feedback, a doubling of CO2 would only cause half a degree of warming …Checking Up On Hansen’s Multi-Metre Sea Level Rise | Real Science
NASA says that sea level has fallen 6mm over the last two years, due to too much rain from Hansen’s permanent drought.
