Carbon Dioxide Emissions Up Sharply, Yet Temperatures Are Flat? - Forbes
Even if the United States had completely eradicated all carbon dioxide emissions going back to the year 2001, this still would not have prevented a rise in global emissions during the past decade. And with U.S. emissions already eliminated, we would be unilaterally suffering immensely negative economic and quality-of-life consequences of zero carbon dioxide emissions while other nations continued creating a record rise.
Fortunately, no such self-imposed misery is necessary because real-world observations show that rising carbon dioxide levels are having only a minor impact on global temperatures.
And we are supposed to be very worried about a predicted rise of 3-4 F in 100 years?
But not this ACTUAL trend?
And for this predicted trend the politicians want to take our societies back to the Stone Age. But, as usual, they DO NOTHING about the actual trend.
- Bishop Hill blog - Dangerous climate change?
Most climate scientists* do not subscribe to the 2 degrees "Dangerous Climate Change" meme (I know I don't).
Whether It Is Warming or Climate Change, It Cannot be the CO2.
[Tim Ball] Few, including skeptics, want to confront the problem that temperature increase precedes CO2 increase in absolute contradiction to the major assumption of the AGW hypothesis. It is increasingly obvious that CO2 is not a greenhouse gas and the only group challenging that scientifically are the Slayers, which is why I joined them. Science must be about skepticism, otherwise the science is settled, but then it isn’t science.
