Back when CO2 levels were "safe", and the weather wasn't extreme: 100-year-old weather record set in Oklahoma on 11-11-11

This is the anniversary of a weather event that occurred on 11/11/11.

Its historic occurrence has not been surpassed in 100 years! A record high temperature and then a record low temperature was set on the same date.

The record breaking day took place in Oklahoma City, though we had a massive drop in temperatures in most of the southern plains that day. Temperatures fell rapidly during the afternoon and evening and just before midnight the temperature had cratered to a record low of 17°.

It wasn't just cold in Oklahoma City. Tulsa had warmed to 85°, which set a record high. Kansas City made 76° and Springfield was 80°.
