Hmm: Warmist NASA scientists think they already know something that will turn what they already know upside down?

Scientists plan to prove Antarctica climate change is occurring | KING5.com Seattle

What if climate change in Antarctica was happening in a place nobody could see?

NASA Scientists believe it is, and today they outlined their plan to prove it. What they find may turn what we know about glacial melt upside down.
...

"We just know we're going to discover something because nobody has ever looked under this very active ice shelf and looked how the ocean is interacting with the ice and how the ice sheet is responding," said Robert Bindschadler, Glaciologist, NASA.

In two years a new helicopter base will be constructed near the site that will allow them to come and go on a regular basis. But the crew doesn't want to wait so they will fly and caravan to the site this year and spend six weeks on the ice conducting their studies.

Is this how science is supposed to work? You believe in a theory and then set out to prove it?
