There is a sub-species of climate reality deniers whose devotion to CO2-based climate models is solely a result of a need to protect their global warming research funding. Without that funding, these fanatical "scientists" would be without portfolio and luxurious academia livelihood.
Climate modeler John Nielsen-Gammon (JNG) would appear to be one such specimen, whose pathetic denial of climate reality is torn asunder by the unfortunate real climate facts.
