Obama said this week he would decide himselfwhether to approve the pipeline. It's no wonder. His presidency may be at stake. One the one hand are jobs and energy security, and the other the planet.

A new word has to be invented to properly express the depth of stupidity and ignorance when one compares the choice of the planet or a pipeline extension. With the U.S. pipeline map looking like that of airline routes, it's beyond absurdity to even suggest that a comparatively small extension would be the death of the planet.
