Rapid CO2 drop froze the Antarctic | COSMOS magazine
“We found a 40% CO2 decrease over a three million year period, in agreement with global cooling during that time.”
CO2 and climate clearly linked
“This is one more study clearly linking climate change to atmospheric CO2 levels. It shows the fundamental role that CO2 plays in regulating Earth’s climate. Historically, there have been a number of climate events that were held up as examples where CO2 didn’t play a role,” commented Zanna Chase, a chemical oceanographer from the University of Tasmania in Hobart, who was not involved in the study.
“But in just about every case, upon closer examination, these have been re-interpreted to now show a consistent relationship between increasing CO2 and increasing global temperatures.”
