This autumn set the record for the earliest ski opening on record in Colorado (October 9 at Wolf Creek – in southern Colorado) and December so far is one of the coldest on record in Colorado. North America set the record in 2010 for the greatest snow extent ever recorded. The last four years has been the snowiest four year period on record in North America.
