Every year, the American Association for the Advancement of Science holds a meeting but this year there was a message of doom and gloom. Nina Fedoroff, President of the AAAS, said that she was "scared to death" of the anti-science movement that's spreading, and said that "we're sliding back into a dark era". So where is evidence of this anti-science movement? Well Rick Santorum and scientists will argue that the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision has also played a role.
