Does anyone honestly believe that if a hurricane were unfolding somewhere and imagery as compelling as that coming out of the Romanian countryside were available that Anderson Cooper, or whoever at the networks most wants to emulate him this week, would not be there in less than 24 hours, delivering the images and polishing the AGW narrative every step of the way?

Meanwhile, the Danube is frozen, roads are cut off, people are perishing from the cold, and the situation continues to unfold! Again: If this were a warm-weather event, it would be all over the front page of the New York Times with dire warnings regarding what it means. The Times and CNN have given the weather token coverage, mostly showing photos showing the “pretty” side of ice and snow. But the weather gripping Europe, particularly Eastern Europe where U.S. news bureaus have effectively no reporters, is not pretty. It’s vicious; it’s lethal. What this weather event means is that predictions of colder winters and falling global mean temperature coming from scientists around the world and writers including this correspondent are to be taken seriously.
