Warmist junk scientist Andrew Weaver on the alleged 3% of climate scientists who allegedly don't believe in AGW: “They believe within themselves a greater being will take care of us.”; he also offers plenty of unsolicited policy advice

While many Canadians and Americans express doubts, Weaver said there is clear and near-unanimous opinion among scientists in the field that excess carbon loading in the atmosphere from human sources is causing the earth to warm.

“There are those in my community… who don’t think it’s a problem,” he said of an estimated three per cent of scientists in the field who disagree with the hypothesis.

“They believe within themselves a greater being will take care of us.”

Weaver said failure to change and radically reduce dependence on fossil fuels won’t drastically affect today’s generations. It is those in the latter part of this century who will inherit a hotter world.

In the worst scenarios 40 to 70 per cent of species will not survive the change.

Weaver said both carbon taxes and cap and trade systems work and need to be expanded. He commended nations, including the United Kingdom, that met the Kyoto Protocol target of five per cent reduction from 1990 carbon emission levels by last year.

Rather arrogant of Weaver to say what other people think without talking to them. Weaver is no better than Gleick.

in 2008, Weaver and UVic received 90 million dollar promise to fund study ways to cope with climate change. Would he for a moment jeopardize that by entertaining that his theories are mistaken.

I doubt it.
