Wolves scavenge as Italians take shelter from biting cold - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Wolves scavenged in isolated snow-covered villages, the canals in Venice froze over, and the death toll rose to 30 as freezing weather continued across Italy on Tuesday.

Winter death toll rises as even Africa shivers

The bitter cold has even crossed into north Africa, where as many as 19 people were killed on Algeria's snow-slicked roads or in other weather-related accidents. Snow also fell in southern Tunisia for the first time in about 40 years.
