Changes In Barents Sea Ice Since 1974 | Real Science
Our friends have been hysterical about some missing ice in the Barents Sea, blaming most of humanity’s woes on it.
The image below alternates between March 7, 1974 and March 7, 2012. The ice has scarcely changed over the last forty years. The polar scientists at NOAA, NASA and NSIDC must be very eager to talk about this, because they are only interested in the truth.
Where Is The NOAA Arctic Ice Data? | Real Science
The official alarmist line is to pretend that they don’t have good Arctic ice data from before 1979. Yet in 1990, both the IPCC and NOAA knew that Arctic ice extent was more than 30,000 Manhattans smaller in 1974 than it was in 1979.
Where is that NOAA data, and why do the IPCC, NSIDC, NASA and NOAA now pretend that they don’t know about it?
U.S. February figures reinforce recent cooling trend
The original warming scare was based on a trend that was observed for only about 20 years in the second half of the 20th century. The figures below show that there has now been a COOLING trend over a similar time-period: "The trend for 1990 to 2012 is - 1.27 F / Decade". So, using Warmist logic, we should all now be shrieking about the dangers of freezing to death! -- JR
“What happens to the millions of used CFLs that are tossed out in the trash each year? Chances are a large percentage are broken by users at home or are broken when compressed in the trash truck or compacted in a landfill. Regardless, the mercury contained in the bulbs is released to the environment.”
“My research found, much to my surprise, that both emissions—from [power plant] stack gas or broken compact fluorescent lighbulbs (CFL)—produce about the same magnitude of mercury release.”
