Earth Hour: brilliant for watching the plasma | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog

Reader MartinX on observing Earth Hour on Saturday:

I’ll be turning the lights off at 8.30 on Saturday night. The 65” plasma screen looks better in a darkened room.

The great retreat from the Moscow of global warming is on in Australia:

Situation normal, but panic, panic, panic | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog

You can see why this change has been forced on alarmists. The secret is now out that the world hasn’t been warming, and to instead now blame global warming for every weather extreme, whether drought or a flood, makes the warmist seem always right, whatever happens.

But let us still to those original claims that we were heating the world rapidly and dangerously. In fact, the world today is cooler than the average - and hasn’t warmed for a decade

Quadrant Online - Greening science

The issue of climate change is now the classic example of post-normal science, originated and serviced by a research machine funded massively and almost entirely by a government department dedicated to drastic alteration of society in the name of fixing the ‘problem’ of global warming. There is almost no avenue, and certainly no funded avenue, for researchers to question the science or policy behind what has become a prime example of unthinking pursuit of the politically correct.

The alarmism is bad. The compulsion is worse | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog

Premier Barry O’Farrell has been too slow to wind back this green nonsense, and we can only hope he’ll take good advice on this “planned retreat”:

HOME owners in the NSW town of Lake Cathie appear likely to escape an eviction order recommended by a consultant’s report that calls for a “planned retreat” from a predicted rise in sea levels, as the O’Farrell government is expected to discard the alarmist climate change predictions of its Labor predecessor.
