Energy: When Mitt Romney sounded like Al Gore | Strange Bedfellows — Politics News - seattlepi.com

The 2007 Romney seemed impatient to change the nation’s vehicle fleet to save gasoline and clean up the atmosphere.

“I sure hope that you’re going to see more and more hybrids and much better fuel economy,” he said.  “Plug-in cars, electric cars with better battery technology, might be a way of reducing our emissions.”

Yep, this is the same guy who lampoons the Chevy Volt.

Sure enough, the climateers have their knickers in a bunch that media coverage of global warming is in free fall, just as I predicted it would.  A study from DailyClimate.org finds that “Media coverage of climate change continued to tumble in 2011, declining roughly 20 percent from 2010′s levels and nearly 42 percent from 2009′s peak, according to analysis of DailyClimate.org’s archive of global media.”

GenY Rejects the ‘Green’ Life: ‘Let’s all live like the Kardashians’

It increasingly looks like we’re entering the 4th quarter of the great Contest of Truth on global warming. The climate alarmists know they are way behind, and the Fakegate scandal shows they are willing to heave one Hail Mary after another — even in the most underhanded fashion — in a desperate attempt to get back in the game.

Yet those Hail Mary passes expose a rag arm throwing fluttering ducks into a headwind. Fact is: Generation Y — a generation exposed to relentless alarmist global warming propaganda since elementary school — is not very motivated to take the field, catch the pass, and win one for the Green Gipper.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Robert Sassone: Michael Mann’s rebuttal on Sunday was typical of statements by global warming advocates [“Reader Rebuttal: Climate change research”]. His alleged scientific facts are short on facts and numbers and fail to respond to criticisms. First, he pats himself on the back; then he ignores the facts on which his adversaries base their criticism.
