Al Gore at Hampshire College: Global warming is real and needs to be addressed now | masslive.com

Gore said that some claim environmental change is caused by sunspots or volcanoes. ”That’s not true. It’s an urgent problem that requires urgent attention and must be addressed,” he said.

Crisis? What global warming crisis? | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog

The timing and magnitude of future changes to the climate are uncertain. Scientific understanding of the climate system is incomplete, and the future trajectory of global greenhouse gas emissions is unclear.

As in: who the hell knows? And as for the apocalyptic danger, forget it, says the commission:

Within limits, the impacts of gradual climate change should be manageable. Few systemic barriers to climate change adaptation have been identified and Australians have a long history of coping with climate variability and structural change.
Uncertainty surrounding changes to the frequency, intensity, location and timing of extreme weather events requires a risk management approach to adaptation.

If only the Productivity Commission had been given a brief to audit the warming consensus itself.

Has volcanic activity been increasing?

They do agree that the number of active volcanoes over the last few centuries “shows a dramatic increase.” However, they also note that that increase “is closely related to increases in the world’s human population and communication.”
