Of the many crops cultivated in the gewogs, potato, the main cash crop for the farmers, was found severely damaged, the report stated...According to villagers, there was continuous “frosting” for three days, starting May 5, in the two gewogs, leaving the potatoes, which are at a vulnerable stage, damaged.  They said the gewogs went through a similar experience a few years ago, but the damage was not as severe as this year.
