It was his post that got me poking around Huffpo’s UK science section, where I came across the weirdest thing I’ve ever read on global warming. It’s by a musician who leads off his piece (and stay with it, just for fun) this way:
This past February, 2012, on the day after the Superbowl, I achieved enlightenment on a flight from Ushuaia Argentina, the southernmost city in the world, headed back to The United States.
Well, first you can show just how overwhelmingly wrong the right is, not just about science, but about facts in general—something that The Republican Brain actually does in detail.

Shell sets out ‘progressive’ European climate pitch | JunkScience.com
That should probably read: “Shell sells out consumers and seeks competitive advantage by pricing smaller competitors out of the market“. I’ve just decided Royal Dutch don’t get to provide my gasoline or goods through their associated convenience stores.
In an exclusive interview with EurActiv, a top executive with Royal Dutch Shell, Europe’s largest oil and gas company, has set out a verdant stall for EU carbon market intervention, binding emissions reductions targets in 2030, and robust environmental criteria for biofuels.
One further fact is worth noting. The Managing Director of Outside Organisation is a certain Neil Wallis, and it was Wallis along with another colleague who did most of the work for the UEA. Wallis, of course, has since been arrested and bailed without charge as part of the on-going police investigation into phone hacking due to his former role as deputy editor of the News of the World.
It will come as no surprise to many that the BBC made no mention of this fact
