THE HOCKEY SCHTICK: Analysis: Electricity from solar costs 4 to 5 times more than from natural gas

According to an analysis published today in New Energy, the cost of generating electricity in the US over the plant lifetime is approximately 4 to 5 times higher for solar sources vs. conventional natural gas. Onshore wind sources are about 1.7 times more expensive and nuclear twice as expensive as a conventional natural gas plant.
