‘The Science of a Changing Climate’ | JunkScience.com

Australia, which is subject to enormous climatic variation at the best of times, swinging from drought to flood and back again, with diurnal/nocturnal temperature ranges from trivial to huge, (which is kind of impressive for a place that cannot claim a single elevation of 7500′), really suggests ‘tipping points’ must be really far off the ‘mean global average temperature’ – if that’s even a valid metric.

A single misstep resulting in a plunge from a cliff? How would we even notice we’d made such a ‘change’ in a land that exhibits such swingeing shifts in temperature and precipitation in the normal course of things? Phooey!

Union Of Concerted Scamsters | Real Science

Antarctic ice cores show cyclical temperature changes of 12C, yet since satellites started measuring in 1979 –  Antarctica shows no warming.  Large warming and cooling cycles happen and always have. They have nothing to do with man, and only a complete imbecile would try to claim that they do.

The UCS claims are unsupportable and indicate either incompetence, corruption or both.

Predictions that We Are On Cusp of the Next Grand Minimum | The Next Grand Minimum

David Archibald has an interesting post at Watts Up With That titled: Premonitions of the Fall (in temperature). The part that most intrigued me was the discussion of the research by Libby and Pandolfi who based their forecast of long term cooling on Kings Canyon tree rings.  David suggests it was the most successful current predictions of a potential  long term cooling period.

James Hansen – The Steinbeck Of Climate Fiction | Real Science

There haven’t been any studies which back up Hansen’s claims.
