THE HOCKEY SCHTICK: A graph that disproves AGW
From The Inconvenient Skeptic comes a graph that disproves AGW, showing satellite observations which prove that for each 1C increase in Northern Hemisphere temperature, outgoing longwave radiation increases by 2.2 W/m2. According to the IPCC, a doubling of CO2 levels will "trap" 3.7 W/m2 in the troposphere to cause 3C warming at the Earth's surface. However, as shown by this graph, a 3C warming would increase outgoing radiation to space by 3*2.2 = 6.6 W/m2, far more than the heat claimed to be "trapped" by doubled CO2 of 3.7 W/m2. As stated by The Inconvenient Skeptic, "There is simply no physical method by which CO2 is capable of overcoming this barrier. There never has been and there never will be. This is why global warming by means of CO2 level is impossible and always will be impossible."
“The former buzz words ‘environment’ and ‘climate change’ have disappeared … now it’s all about “social justice” with “collectives” that will tell you what you want or should do.”
Rahmstorf Junk Science 101 : Sea Level Plummeting In Canada | Real Science
If we ignore isostasy and tectonics (like USGS and Rahmstorf did) it is easy to prove that sea level is plummeting. Similarly, University of Texas geniuses declared that East Antarctica was losing ice – by ignoring the fact that the ground underneath the ice was falling.
Arctic temperatures cooler than average in summer 2012 « Reasonable Doubt on Climate Change
This is interesting. Summer temperatures so far in the arctic region have been below normal, in fact recently returning to freezing. They are cooler than in 1958.
A wildfire that began in Boulder County yesterday brought a local flare to James Hansen's lecture on "The Venus Syndrome," as he touched on how temperature anomalies are causing wildfires to be more frequent, more destructive, and to burn hotter. "The smoke in the room just adds another dimension," Nye said, referring to the campfire smell that permeated the building from the recently ignited Flagstaff fire.
Hansen, who leads NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, also described how human addiction to fossil fuels has shifted Earth's climate. "The climate dice are now loaded," he said. Research hydrologist Karen Rice piled on the human-impact theme, saying that "almost everything we as humans do results in acidification [of the planet," and joking that what Earth really needs is a Rolaid.
Bloomberg: Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson calls effects of global warming ‘manageable’ | Biz Beat Blog
Bloomberg reports:
“People may need to adapt to a sea level rise and shift food production with climate change, Tillerson said at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York today.
Current global warming models aren’t accurate, and ‘more competent’ models are needed, he said.”
