The unholy alliance between bankers and government is on naked display.
It’s the black hole in the kitchen: huge, obvious, and silent. And boy does it suck. As Climate Depot points out, Bank of America got a $45 billion bailout from the government during the global financial crisis. Now it’s promising $50 billion to “address Climate Change”. How Green is your Bankster?
Erl Happ: Climate changes – oh so naturally « Tallbloke's Talkshop
I’m reposting this from Erl Happ’s blog because it deserves wider attention. This is a tour de force, pulling together the different strands of climate knowledge and weather lore Erl has been building up over the years. Hi ideas fit well with those of Marcel Leroux, who worked out that climate change is largely driven by longer term changes in the polar oscillations. Erl believes these are largely due to ozone changes caused by solar variation which drive the global air flows via consequent surface pressure changes. As Hans Jelbring tells us: Wind controls climate. As Nikolov and Zeller tell us, surface pressure and insolation control temperature. Erl delves into the underlying causes of those polar variations, and connects the levels and latitudes of the atmosphere for us in a novel, logical and interesting way.

12/06/2012 Leinen blasts EU's refusal to pay Brussels eco-levy
Jo Leinen (S&D, Germany), a member of the European Parliament's Committee on the Environment (ENVI), is angry: the European Union, which requires its member states to take specific measures to fight climate change, has asked the Brussels Capital Region to exempt it from payment of the tax on energy consumption of its buildings. This is "completely unacceptable," denounces the MEP.
12/06/2012 Climate action advocates expect little from Obama or Romney
As the EU remains frustrated with US foot-dragging on action to tackle climate change, policy experts in Washington doubt that the situation will change in 2013 regardless of whether Barack Obama or Mitt Romney is in the White House.
