Climate Change won't affect monsoon

Excerpt from oped by SC Bhan, weather scientist from India ;

QUESTION: Is it possible that the monsoon period may change because of climate change or oceanic developments?

ANSWER: Monsoon has not undergone any major change in the last 1,500 years. The climate models, which can predict the climate for a century, do not indicate any major change in the monsoon regime. So climate change is not expected to drastically alter the Indian monsoon.
