I propose that President Obama mandate that every adult in the country purchases both an energy-saving electric car and a gas-guzzling SUV. The purpose would be to regulate the climate. The electric car would be driven only during the summer months so as to prevent global warming and keep the earth from overheating. This would make our summers more bearable.

Conversely, the SUVs would be driven in the wintertime so as to create global warming when we really need it. This would protect us from severe cold spells and make our winters more comfortable.

Problem solved. No more extreme climate changes.
